Ray Dean, Musician...

Raymond Shamsid-Deen Jr. was born in St Paul, Minnesota has been a resident of Sacramento, California since 1988. He began drumming at the age of six, influenced by musical greats Dennis Chambers, John Bonham, Max Roach, and Tony Williams. His professional career includes concert and theater performances. Ray's most recently performs with several local Sacramento bands.

Ray enjoys performing as well as teaching beginner to advanced drum lessons. Although he specializes in Jazz, Funk, and Rock grooves his love of music transcends all genres. He believes there is no better way to honor the gift of music than to facilitate mastery within another. His love of music requires sharing what he learns about music.
